Laguna National Golf and Country Club (LNGCC) was Singapore's only commercially-run golf club when NatSteel bid $131 million for a 30-year lease for the 126-hectare site. LNGCC was developed by a joint venture company, Laguna National Golf and Country Club Ltd with several shareholders having a complementary and value-added role in the development.
From 1993 to 2001, under the management of Laguna National Golf and Country Club Ltd, the Club had in its fold, an estimated 1,700 members.
On 7th August 2001, Mr Peter Kwee bought over Laguna National Golf and Country Club. The Club underwent a $10 million facelift immediately after to spruce up the Club's façade, amenities and facilities, including the addition of a brand new 5,500 sq ft Spa. Currently, LNGCC has more than 3,100 members with about 2,000 of them Golfing Members and another 1,000 Social Members. The focus of the Club is to achieve the following:-
